Procurement and Contract Management are some of the major challenges faced by SMEs, which can be detrimental to businesses that are dependent on tendering to gain more clients. As such, the UNDP-SDP held a training on the subject with the following objectives.

Objectives:

To develop suppliers participating in the Supplier Development Programme in areas of Procurement and Contract Management by:

a) providing a sound overview of competitiveness and improved operational efficiency leveraging success in tenders submitted and sound contract management where the supplier has been awarded contracts.
b) developing comprehensive content that combined theoretical concepts and practical implementation to ensure that participants can follow simple and systematic processes in tendering and management of secured contracts.

The training was conducted by one of the SDP consultants Mr. Tlhotlheletso Ronald Yane who has immense experience in consulting on supply chain management and offering other business operations related trainings.

The training exclusively targeted SDP Suppliers and SDP consultants as an in-house training aimed at sharing experiences, techniques, and strategies in dealing with procurement issues and contract management.
